Due to a unwise business owner. My good friend might be closing their doors in Newport. Im really irritated.. Just thought id give you guys a heads up...

if you are wondering why some of your newport therapist are no longer around they quit because they are not going to go to school and becomes certified to keep their job...

Starting 2013 Newport will require every therapist to be certified and or lisc with 500 hr. in the city.

They will not grandfather existing therapist.

Beebe massage might close? keep my opinion on that one

very sad to say my wonderful friend at newport might sell/ close in the next year

I am not a fan of beebe I could careless if they close.Actually IMO People would be better off going to massage envy for the same price might not get the same dare i say eyecandy ugh but at least they would receive a descent massage.

newport is still open.They are in the process of becoming fully lisc. Just in case they dec to stay. Only having only 2 therapist does not exactly make a company.Or pay the bills.The owner is considering moving to another city this way her staff will come back etc...

That whole area including Woodbury changed. All it takes is a couple people being wreckless to ruin it for everyone. Even in mpls the city has been changing zoning at the last second so its getting harder for people to keep their shops & landlords making money on rental properties no matter what business is there.
Its their way of saying GTFO we hate all massage people so we're pricing you out of the game.
mn isn't uptight, its very grey & full of double standards that self defeats ( in a legal sense) .
Tantra is a taxable & legal practice it also qualifies near acts of prostitution if we're looking at all the statutes & HE even diy is not?
Very backwards way to do things.
Having a license does NOT prevent acts of prostitution nor does it keep clients "safe".
