Hi Guys,
It wasn't my intention to offend. As mentioned in my first message, the specific kind of research I'm looking for is to hear the views and experiences of different hobbyists, so I can build up a more accurate picture of the hobby. And to further see if anyone would be interested in speaking anonymously about the hobby for the documentary, or knows someone who might be willing to.
The whole point is to paint an accurate picture of the hobby, by hearing from the hobbyists themselves, rather than relying on the pre-conceived ideas, the stigma, and the moralizing that is the usual means of telling this story.
As for credibility, that is why I mentioned our other production Drugs Inc. If you've seen it, you'll know that we've gone to great lengths to search out both sides of every drug issue we've explored, in order to let the audience draw their own conclusions.
We are aiming to apply the same model here. And that is why I've come to you. Without a hobbyist's voice, we won't be able to provide your point of view. I think it's a point of view worth sharing. Otherwise I wouldn't be here.
If you don't want to participate, I completely understand. But if you have any thoughts that you'd like to share to help me tell a more accurate story - even if it's just here on this message board - it would be very helpful.
I also realize I forgot to include my email in my last message. If anyone wants to reach me there privately, you're more than welcome.
Thanks for your time,
David
